Enabling Remote Administration

You can administer your Web-published databases from computers other than the one holding your database. Remote administration allows you to open and close databases and use HTTP commands to upload and download files to your Web folder.

To enable remote administration:

1.
Choose Edit > Preferences > Application.

2.
In the Application Preferences dialog box, click the Plug-Ins tab.

3.
In the list of Plug-Ins, click Web Companion, then click the Configure button.

4.
In the Web Companion Configuration dialog box's Remote Administration section, click the Requires Password radio button (Figure 15.14).

5.
Type the password in the box below the radio button (Figure 15.15). Click OK, then OK again to finish.
