Printing Scripts

Once you've debugged a script, particularly if it's a long and complex one, you can print it out for future reference. Having printed copies makes it easier to locate a script you want to use as a basis for a new script, particularly if you run several related files or different databases. It also makes it easy to reconstruct a complicated script if something nasty happens to your database and you have to reconstruct it from an earlier version. You can print scripts individually or all at once.

To print a script in Windows:

1.
Choose File > Print.

2.
In the Print drop-down list, choose “Script definition for” (Figure 10.44).

3.
In the script drop-down list, leave the default “all scripts” or choose a specific script to print (Figure 10.45).

4.
Click OK to print the script(s).
