Formatting Reports with AutoFormats

If you created a report with the Report Wizard then you had a chance to select an AutoFormat for the finished product. If you created your report from scratch and want to assign a pre-fab format to it, or if you want to change the AutoFormat you chose when you created your report in the wizard, you can select an AutoReport from the list available in the wizard.

To format a report using an AutoFormat:

1.
In Design view, open the report you want to reformat.

2.
Choose Format > AutoFormat.

3.
Fom the list of available AutoFormats (Figure 6.11), select the AutoFormat you want to use and click OK.

A preview of the AutoFormat appears in the left-hand pane of the window.
