Chapter 11. Working with Pivot Tables > Relaunching the Pivot Table Wizard

Relaunching the Pivot Table Wizard

Each different arrangement of your fields brings up a unique calculation of data. You can rearrange the fields in your pivot table while in Excel, but the process can take a while if your computer is slow or if Excel needs to calculate a substantial amount of data every time you pivot your table. Relaunching the Pivot Table Wizard lets you move your fields without forcing Excel to recalculate your table after every move.

To relaunch the Pivot Table Wizard:

1.
Open the form containing your pivot table in Access and click Edit Pivot Table (Figure 11.11).

Figure 11.11. You can open your pivot table for editing and relaunch the Pivot Table Wizard from within Excel.

Your pivot table appears as an Excel file.

2.
Choose Data > PivotTable and PivotChart Report.

The Pivot Table Wizard appears. Click Layout to rearrange the fields in your pivot table.
