Planning Relationships

Tables in a database don't exist in isolation; records in one table often relate to records in another table. Relationships are covered in more detail in Chapter 8.

The Contact-Management database we're creating has three tables: Contacts, Calls, and Contact Type. Contacts and Calls are directly related: everyone you call is listed in your Contacts table.
