Chapter 13. Publishing to the Web > Viewing a Page in a Web Browser

Viewing a Page in a Web Browser

When you create a data access page, Access stores the HTML file it generates outside the database, but the program establishes a link to the file from the Pages pane of the main database window.

Access stores data access pages as separate files so users can open the objects with Web browsers. As of this writing, you need to use Internet Explorer 4.0 or later to open a data access page. Some features may not work with Version 4.0, so you may need to use Version 4.1 or later. For best results, use Internet Explorer 5.0.
