Writing Macros

Macros are procedures you can write to automate actions that would normally require a potentially lengthy series of steps. If the steps to achieve a result never vary, and differ only in the data used in the procedure, you should consider automating the process with a macro.

Writing a macro in Access is simple. Access provides an interface that allows you to choose the actions you want the macro to perform and set an order for the actions to occur. You can set macros for just about anything including opening forms, printing pages or documents, or launching another program.
