Chapter 14. Honing Your Database

Chapter 14. Honing Your Database

The default Access interface is extremely powerful—you can get to any of the program's commands with the menu system, use built-in toolbars to get at commonly used features more conveniently, and (if you created your database with a wizard) manage your database using a switchboard, which is a connected series of forms with controls that open commonly used items in your database.

In this chapter you'll learn how to work with switchboards; how to customize your database's menus, dialog boxes, and toolbars; and how to create macros to automate tasks within your database.
