Chapter 7. Finding, Filtering, and Sorting > Finding and Replacing Data

Finding and Replacing Data

Have you ever found out that you've been mispronouncing one of your favorite words for years? Or that you've consistently misspelled something in your database? Access can easily replace misspelled words (or any other value that needs changing) with the correct version.

Finding and replacing data is a handy way to update ZIP codes, area codes, and business names that have changed. The Find feature quickly locates each individual record that contains a particular value. Of course, you can also write a query to find those records, but using Find is often the quicker way to go.
