Creating the Elevator Pitch

The first place to start in creating your presentation, whether it is to be written or verbal, is the elevator pitch. An elevator pitch is a very succinct explanation of your business idea (about 200 words or less) that you can deliver to potential investors or those who are interested in your business model at the outset of a formal meeting, over lunch, or on the phone when pitching your idea to a prospect.

The idea is to pretend you're in an elevator and you run into a potential investor and only have the time between floors (about 30 seconds) to grab their attention and make them want to know more. What would you say, and how would you say it?
