Outlining Your Use of Funds

Though you are not writing your financial plan in this section, you should give a general overview of how the money you need will be used. Even if you're using your personal capital resources, you should still outline how you plan to use the funds you require for your business. Why? Because the exercise is important for gaining a clear picture of your funding needs and plans, and it helps prepare you for writing your pro forma (you learn about writing the pro forma in Chapter 13, “Writing Your Financial Plan”).
