Summary

As you've learned in this chapter, the reader of your plan wants to know not only what you plan to sell, but also why consumers will buy it. The Product or Service Description section of your plan must also explain to readers where and how you source your products and what resources you need to provide your service.

Don't describe your product or service in language that is too technical with too many industry-specific words or phrases. If you are creating a product, you must provide a detailed description of components or raw materials that go into the finished item and how much the components or raw materials cost. Let the reader of your plan know you have the capability of creating the proprietary product you plan to sell.
