Chapter 35. Shipping

Almost all businesses ship or receive goods of some sort—equipment, supplies, parts, and finished products or merchandise. A very few companies have their own trucks or railroads or airplanes or ships to carry their goods to destination. Most businesses use some type of transportation company to ship their goods. The most commonly known to consumers are the U.S. Postal Service, United Parcel Service, FedEx, Roadway, Consolidated Freightways, and the railroads. In this lesson you will learn terms associated with the shipping of goods.
