Delivery

Even with solid research, good planning, and excellent facilities, some presentations still fail. Why? The presenter may not have a good, relaxed delivery style. Without that skill, participants quickly lose interest and become bored. Delivery style is important because presentations are primarily trainer centered. Three areas that presenters can work on to improve their delivery are verbal and nonverbal communication, questioning and reinforcement, and humor. But, first, they need to put the participants in a receptive mood.

Introduction Techniques

The introduction should both explain the topic of your presentation and capture the audience's attention. Do not attempt the second without covering the first. Remember, if your attention grabber does not tie into your topic, you will only confuse and distract the audience. Here are some suggestions for working up an interesting and effective introduction:
