What You Can Expect to Learn

Your success depends on your developing an effective presentation process to follow and your development of the right skills and techniques to support your unique process. Once you are comfortable with the basic mechanics of effective presentations, your stress and fear can be eliminated or at least reduced greatly. An effective presenter is credible, is well prepared, uses tried and true tools, and has a grasp of the basic presentation skills you’ll learn in this book. In addition, an effective presenter pays attention to and is prepared for the little (and sometimes not so little) things that happen to every presenter at one time or another, such as last-minute room set-up changes or audiovisual glitches.
