Watch Famous (and Infamous) Presentations

Classic speeches have been archived on videotape and DVD. Your local library no doubt has videos depicting famous presentations by President John F. Kennedy and Reverend Martin Luther King. When you watch these moments closely, you can pick up on the powerful skills of great presenters.

You can also get some helpful tips by watching television talk show hosts and newscasters who earn their keep by making presentations to their viewing audiences. You can see some fine examples of microphone handling; ways to engage an audience; and nonverbal, as well as verbal, communication.
