Audience Interaction

If your story is an opener or if it is at the end of a long session, consider audience involvement. You can simply ask the audience a question that invites them to raise their hands. For example:

“How many of you have ever been in such a situation before?”

“Have you ever had an argument with an irate teenager before 6:00 in the morning?”

“The snoring sounded like three pigs eating. How many of you know that sound?”
