What gets an Analyzer’s Attention?

Rule one: make sense. Be logical and organized in your presentation, and be prepared to support your data with facts—lots of them. Keep small talk to a minimum, as analytical are quiet internal people who consider small talk a waste of time. And they aren’t very good at it themselves. Sprinkle your conversations with phrases like, “You’re right about that,” and, “You sure figured that one out in a hurry.” “I hadn’t thought of that,” works too, because you probably hadn’t. If analytical styles don’t respond to your questions right away, they’re thinking, so give them the time they need. They will reward you with a reasonable wellthought-out answer.
