Fight the Habit

Don’t tolerate what you want to eliminate from your listening style. Stomp it. Drop it. Change your ways! Like a smoker kicking the habit, cold turkey is the best way. Don’t wait until next time to do things differently. Admit your behavior (i.e., “I just interrupted you. I’m sorry, please go on with what you were saying.”) This is a way of catching yourself in the act and acknowledging your bad habit.
