Chapter 6. Hear the Message

The brain recognizes sound as it enters the ear. Then, other “listening channels” such as our eyes and our feelings seek confirmation of the message from the speaker’s non-verbal feedback, such as body language and tone of voice. Hearing is the beginning of the listening process. Hearing is non-selective and involuntary. However, when you choose to listen, it is on purpose.
