Use Positive Words

Positive words can convey the same message, and will elicit a more cooperative reaction from your reader. Notice the difference in tone.

“You claim that…” vs. “You tell us that…” or “You state that…”
“You fail to see…” vs. “May I point out that…”
“You neglected to send…” vs. “Your check was not enclosed.”
“the alleged incident” vs. “the incident you refer to”
