Always be nice, no matter how busy you are. Being busy does not make it acceptable to sound rushed, harried, or rude—everyone is busy at one time or another. When someone asks you how things are going, a simple: “Great! How can I help you?” is always appropriate, then move the conversation along. If you complain about being too busy, you may scare your caller away. Customers want and deserve all of your attention. If you appear too busy, they may go elsewhere.
