Tip 45 Create Verbal-Visual Cooperation

Using visual aids well enhances your credibility as a presenter and helps the audience understand the material, because information comes to them through both auditory and visual channels.

Your words and visuals must cooperate, not compete, with each other. If you say one thing and display something else (especially if your visual contains words), you may be competing with your visuals, and you may be irritating, confusing, or losing your audience.
