Tip 11 Use the Fast Formula to Manage Meeting Theft

“Meeting theft” is behavior that steals time, productivity, or good will from business meetings—behaviors like talking too much or criticizing too quickly, carrying on side conversations, telling too many jokes or digressive stories, or arriving late or unprepared. Since such behaviors devalue meetings, they are genuine forms of business thievery.

Yet the culprits themselves deserve to be treated with kindness and diplomacy, for an important reason: most meeting thieves are wellintentioned people and may be unaware that their behaviors are counterproductive.
