Jill is invited, along with her manager, to attend a meeting of all department heads in the company. She is not expecting to say anything, only to sit and listen. During her manager’s presentation, he is asked a question about the department’s plans for the coming year. He turns to Jill and says, “Jill, you’ve been working on our major project for the past year. Maybe you could say a few words about how this project got started, where it stands and where it is going.”
