Why do we capitalize words? The answer is simple: to give words distinction, emphasis, and importance. Yet confusion abounds regarding capitalization rules. When do you capitalize a word and when do you not capitalize a word? If you capitalize too many words, none stand out. On the other hand, if you don’t capitalize a word, its importance goes unrecognized. What a dilemma!
