Personalized Communications

In sharp contrast to boilerplate generalities, a value-adding letter is a personalized communication. It emerges out of very careful consideration of what you want to say to a particular person, who is a potential resource in your job search.

First and foremost of course, a value-adding letter always begins with the name of the intended recipient. It is always addressed to a specific person you have identified as beneficial to contact. It recognizes that hiring is a very personal process enhanced by personal contact at every step of the way.
