Chapter 12. Developing Your Ideas

Similar to reports, once you have outlined your proposals, you will need to complete your first draft. Following is an example of another way to organize and develop a proposal.

  1. OVERVIEW OR EXECUTIVE SUMMARY— convey your main ideas clearly and concisely

  2. OBJECTIVES— identify their needs

  3. SOLUTIONS— identify what you can do for them

  4. ABOUT YOUR COMPANY— explain why they should select you

  5. FEES— state what they can expect to pay for your services or product

  6. APPENDIX— add any other relevant or supporting piece of information to enhance your proposal.
