Recommendations

Remember to do your homework: Learn as much as you can about the company, its products, its policies.

Make certain you have assembled facts/documents/certificates/resume items that are aligned with the requirements for the job you want.

Rehearse at least ten times for the interview by having a friend work with you on the typical interview questions included at the end of this chapter.

Be prepared for non-typical interview questions. When employers ask such challenging questions, they are not necessarily trying to trick you or trap you. They are usually trying to see how well you can think on your feet. This critical skill of being able to respond well to an unanticipated situation or question will help you make decisions better, solve problems more creatively, and lead others more easily.
