Media Interviews

Dealing with radio, television and/or print media can be intimidating. But not if you are prepared. Interviewers, of course, are usually seeking “juicy” bits of information and if you are not cautious in your remarks, you may provide “juice” that can do irreparable damage to your career. The ancient exhortation to think before you speak will serve you especially well in interview situations.

Many people believe that diplomacy is doing the “nastiest thing in the nicest way.” The diplomat, when faced with unexpected questions, keeps in mind the power of words and treats them, and the ideas they convey, with great respect.
