Writing Short Essays

INSTRUCTIONS: Write a short essay (three or four paragraphs) describing CORE CONTROL and how you can use it to write clearly. Circle the subject of each sentence to assure CORE CONTROL.

NOTE: The word you is often omitted when making a polite request or giving a command. When you is omitted, sentences begin with a verb. Example: Help me with this problem. Although you is omitted, it is still the “understood” subject of the sentence. In the essay below the understood you is in parenthesis.
