Case Study #2: Thinking Argumentativey

Frank Stiller is a senior lab technician in a medium-sized company that designs air conditioning units. He believes that his lab, as it is currently set up, is insufficient for the volume of work which must be handled there.

There are two sets of holding shelves capable of storing only 24 air conditioners. However, on the average 50 to 100 air conditioners are in the lab because the company has greatly increased in business. As a result, air conditioners are scattered on the floor, a situation which delays the testing process when a unit must be located.
