Part III: Sources of Resistance to Persuasion

In Section II we examined the different degrees to which an audience can support or disagree with you. We also looked at communication strategies appropriate to each type of audience. But that’s only half of what needs to be done. In addition to knowing what an audience feels about your plan, proposal, etc., it’s important to understand why the audience feels the way they do. Section III will examine reasons for resistance and identify specific strategies to deal with them.
