Sample Letter 8.35 was written to a customer who had not visited the company for some time. With fairly inexpensive databases, it's possible to easily keep track of customers and their buying habits. This comes in handy, particularly in service businesses where regular visits (for example, automotive tune-up or accounting services) are common. The letter writer here gives the customer an easy method of responding to the query.
