MY STORY

Facilitator: I suggest that you offer an example about your own experience or perhaps that of a client. The following is one that I often use.


One of my regular clients—let's call him Bob—called me in to help him structure a presentation that he had been asked to give to the new president of the company, whom we'll call George. I started with my usual audience analysis questions about George's background. Bob knew very little information, but he was adamant about the grapevine's information that George liked a lot of detail. As a result, Bob wanted to load up his presentation with lots of words on lots of slides.
