Rules for attaching prefixes

Fortunately, the process for attaching prefixes to words is easy. In most instances, a prefix is added to the beginning of a word and no spelling modification is needed. In some instances, a hyphen is also used to distinguish the meaning of the word, as in “recover” and “recover.”
