Explanation

Parallel sentencestructure is one of the most important qualities for making a sentence clear and easy to understand. A sentence is considered parallel when it contains items that are equally weighted and when the words, phrases, and clauses come from the same grammatical groups, as shown in Exhibit 5-3.
