Gestures

In everyday conversations, gesturing never seems to be a problem, but when people get in front of an audience to speak, they suddenly do not know what to do with their hands. When delivering a presentation, your gestures, as shown in Exhibit 5-8 should look natural. However, this does not mean that you cannot rehearse your gestures. In fact, practicing in front of a mirror can help you determine which gestures are effective and which are distracting.
