Chapter 23. Handle questions effectively > Prepare to answer questions

Prepare to answer questions

The best way to prepare to answer questions is to analyze your audience while you are preparing your presentation. The more you know about the people in your audience, the better you’ll be able to anticipate any questions they might ask.

As you prepare your presentation, take time to make a list of questions the audience might ask you, and plan answers to those questions. In addition, you might want to ask some colleagues to watch as you practice your presentation. When you have finished, ask them what questions they have, and ask them to point out any potential weaknesses in your presentation.
