Format and Substance of a Periodic Report

Leah wrote her report in a format that she and Elliston had agreed to in the past, but certainly it is not the only format that can be used. Often periodic reports are less formal than Leah's, especially to in-house recipients. In roughing out the draft, Leah was grateful that she didn't have to deal with the endless forms that government agencies, like Health and Human Services, required of their funded programs. There is generally no informal agreement on format when it comes to reporting for the government: format is described in minute detail, not allowing for the kind of narrative discussion that Leah felt more comfortable with.
