Looking at the Big Picture

Looking at the Big Picture

Once you can appreciate the overall importance of values in setting your goals, you can take stock of exactly what your values are. How do you spend your time and energy? What are you passionate about? What do you need to do more of? What should you cut back on? What is missing?

CCL has developed a framework to help you think about these questions. We suggest looking at five areas of your life – career, self, family, community, and spirit – and considering how in each of these areas you are living out your values. By reflecting on your life in this systematic way you can gain a clear perspective on what is important to you and get some ideas of what you might like to change or improve.
