Giving Effective Feedback

Never give feedback when you are angry or upset.

Feedback should be conducted diplomatically and should be specific and meaningful.

Use words that directly relate to the behavior.

Present your points in a calm, clear, rational way.

Describe the behavior, stating specific details and examples.

Describe the impact on you, using “I” statements.

Avoid judgmental statements.

Use positive body language.
