Traditional team player: Helpful, patient, calm, loyal. Tends to agree too much.
Tip: Draw her out. Ask her to cite pros and cons of the issue.
Analytical problem solver: Perfectionist, systematic, fretful. Tends to question too much.
Tip: Give him specific deadlines for decisions and actions.
Dominant controller: Risk taking, fast thinking, forceful. Tends to direct too much.
Tip: Let her feel in control. Move quickly in your interactions.
Charismatic motivator: Enthusiastic, social, influential. Tends to talk too much.
Tip: Keep him focused. Give him lots of recognition.


If you learn to read people and adjust your approaches situationally, you will be much more skillful at defusing and depersonalizing conflicts, which will help you take charge rather than react.
