As an alternative to a Career Objective, you can begin a résumé with a Statement of Qualifications. This is a brief summary of the skills you would bring to the hiring organization. Let’s look at an example for clarification.

Statement of Qualifications: Fluency in written and verbal Japanese combined with a bachelor’s degree in business and four year’s experience in technical manufacturing. Background includes technical writing for international clients.
