We live in an extremely varied and complex world, with few limits to what a person can learn.

As a mentee, there is a great deal you can learn, as long as you take the initiative to make the most of your mentor’s assistance. Raise insightful questions, do some research and homework, take the extra steps to make your mentor’s experiences relevant for you. For example, if you are involved in a management development program, read up on the art of management. Invest in a program of self-study on topics relevant to your needs, desires, or curiosity.
