Part II: The Proactive Mentee > Determining Your Own Needs (or Wants)

Chapter 16. Determining Your Own Needs (or Wants)

What one person sees as a need, another might view as a want. One person may have a social need to work with other people. Another person might need solitude to think, to study, to write. Only you can determine which needs are driving you.

Needs and wants may intermingle and be difficult to sort out. Yet it is important to separate your needs from your wants since other people might not take your wants as seriously as you do. If you dig deeply enough into your wants, you might uncover a true need that is essential to your success and happiness.
