Chapter 12. CASE STUDY: NETWORKING

Alexandria had worked for several years after her marriage as a buyer at a small retail company. Last summer she decided to move to another city and take a job in the purchasing department of a government agency. However, her rating and pay were quite low because her experience was somewhat limited.

Her new supervisor, Juanita, said that she would be pleased to mentor her if Alexandria would define her work-related objectives and identify specific areas in which she needed help, such as government procedures or laws under which the agency operated.
