Chapter 8. You and your Supervisor

Your most important working relationship is with your immediate supervisor. Three basic factors are involved in building and maintaining such a relationship: productivity, cooperation with coworkers, and communication with your boss.

Your supervisor is responsible for departmental productivity. As is true with individuals, there is always a gap between what is accomplished and what could be accomplished within a department. The sooner you close your personal productivity gap, the more you will be respected by your supervisor.
