How to Handle Embarrassing Moments

Few things can be more embarrassing than to fail at something you have been trained to do well. For example, imagine the embarrassment of an English major who misspells a word in a letter the first week on the job. Or an accountant who makes a mistake in simple arithmetic.

Mistakes due to lack of experience can be embarrassing, too. You might have to make change for customers when you’ve never made change before. Or you might be faced with equipment you’ve never used before.
