Step #5:. Practice Your Presentation

Your portfolio probably will not be a stand-alone document. You also need to develop and practice what you want to say about the examples you’ve included.

Take a few minutes to consider who will see your portfolio and what they will need or want to get from looking at the proof of your accomplishments. Your primary audience might be hiring managers, screening committees or recruiters. The secondary audience could be members of a professional association, college advisors or colleagues with whom you are networking. Another audience might be your boss during your performance review.
